door. After you’ve cooked your delicious meal or baked scent-filled goods for
self and family, don’t close the door, turn off the oven and walk away. DO turn
the oven off, but leave the door open and allow that heat to disperse into the
room. This will keep your home cosy in winter, maybe even allow you to turn
down the central heating by a degree and save a little bit more energy, which
is always a good thing for the planet, and you’ll remain toasty warm. Conversely,
in warmer weather it allows the oven to cool more quickly, helping the air
conditioning to work more efficiently if it’s not struggling to combat the
extra heat in the room. Easy tip, good effects.
