Pattern for the Flower

Pattern for the Flowers:

Using 8 ply (double knit) yarn and a 3.50 crochet hook

 

Make a slip knot, 4ch, sl st into 1^st chain

2ch, 6dc into 4ch space, sl st into top of first 2ch

2ch, 2dc in each dc to end (12 dc), sl st in top of first 2ch

1 ch, **[1dc, 1 ½tr, 1 tr, 1 ½tr, 1 dc] in next, 1 sl st in next dc, repeat from ** to end (7 petals)

cut yarn and pull through to tie off

Second round of petals:

Working from the BACK of the work: make a slip knot, ** put hoot through two threads at back of [next] petal, yarn round hook, pull through 2 threads, pull through yarn on hook, 3 ch. Repeat from ** to end, sl st in first 3 ch space

1 ch, **[1dc, 1 ½tr, 2 tr, 1 ½tr, 1dc] in first 3ch space, sl st in next 3 ch space. Repeat from ** to end.

Cut yarn and pull through to tie off.

Third round of petals:

Working from the BACK of the work: make a slip knot, ** put hoot through three threads at back of [next] petal, yarn round hook, pull through 3 threads, pull through yarn on hook, 4 ch. Repeat from ** to end, sl st in first 4 ch space

1 ch, **[1dc, 1 ½tr, 3 tr, 1 ½tr, 1dc] in first 3ch space, sl st in next 4 ch space. Repeat from ** to end.

Cut yarn and pull through to tie off.

Sew a button of your choice in the centre

Pattern for the Leaf:

Using 8 ply (double knit) yarn and a 3.50 crochet hook

Make a slip knot, 12ch

Miss 2ch, 1dc, 1 ½ tr, 2 tr, 2 double tr, 2 tr, 1 ½ tr, 1 dc, 1ch turn

Into the same base chain back the other side - 1dc, 1 ½ tr, 2 tr, 2 double tr, 2 tr, 1 ½ tr, 1 dc, slip st into top of 1^st dc and fasten off
