1000 Flowers for the Planet - #357 Write a Love Letter

1000 Flowers for the Planet - #357 Write a Love Letter

There’s already plenty of bad news all around the world. Wouldn’t it be lovely to receive something pleasant for a change, perhaps even something really meaningful? Instead of waiting to receive something wonderful, give something wonderful. Write a love letter to the most important person in your life. Tell them how much they mean to you. Let them know why you fell in love with them in the first place and what you have grown to love about them all the more over the years. List everything about them that you adore, all their idiosyncrasies that make them unique and give you reason to love them. Tell them what you appreciate about them, the things they do and say that mean so much to you. Tell them what you hope for your future together. Tell them how your world would be affected if they weren’t part of it. Let someone know they are loved.
As the Beatles told us: All you need is love, love is all you need.

People could stop and think how THEY might feel if THEY received such a wonderful gift of a love-letter from their husband/wife/lover/partner. Put yourself in the shoes (or slippers!) of the one you love, and think about the buzz they'd get to read such powerful words and recall shared memories. Imagine being responsible for putting that sparkle in their eyes and fizz in their heart - then go and write such a letter!

By the way, with my husband working FIFO (2wks away, 1wk home), we miss each other terribly, and speaking on the phone every night is just not the same as having your lover & best friend there in the house with you.
I posted a card to him, care of the hotel he's staying at. The manageress waited until the fellas were at dinner to give it to him, and all the waitresses gathered around the table to watch him open it and break into a big soppy grin. The girls all melted and hubby was declared a "sook" and a "softy", but everyone got warm fuzzies from something as simple as a card that just read "You float my boat and rock my world".
