Every time you make a purchase you have an opportunity to make a difference by declining receipt printouts. Initially you’ll need to ask if the receipt is automatically printed out or not, because you can only make a difference if it is not printed out. Some vendors ask if you want it or not, yet it is still printed out and they simply toss it in the bin when you say “no thanks”. That’s not achieving much.
